Boys lacrosse
Fallston 17, Pikesville 1: The defending 1A state champion Cougars advance to the semifinals to play Smithsburg at a day and location to be announced. In the semifinal win, Jacob MacMillian totaled nine points, scoring three goals and assisting in six others. Chris King backed him with three goals and three assists. Greg Hoer, Brendan Ray and Ian Swartzendruber each scored twice. Michael Lembach won 11 of 14 faceoffs.
Towson 10, Bel Air 5: Four Generals – Ansen Park, Jackson Kanzler, Zach Hochrein and Alex Tyler – each scored two goals in their 3A quarterfinal win. Max Kosmides and Connor Parks also had goals. Hudson Arrup set up the offense with four assists. In goal, Alex Hochrein made six saves.
Girls lacrosse
North County 19, Eleanor Roosevelt 4: Katie von Berg scored three goals and assisted on four others as the Knights advanced to the 4A state semifinals. Gracie Boritz, Roxy Stephenson and Riley Sheets each scored a team-high four goals. Stephenson handed out three assists and Boritz and Maggie Blanford each had two.
Perryville 13. Loch Raven 4: The visiting Panthers took a 3-0 lead in the first quarter and beat the Raiders in a Class 1A state quarterfinal. Loch Raven was led by Sarah Watkeys (2 goals), Charlotte Gongon (1 goal) and Alli Henning (1 goal). Rain Shinnick made seven saves for the Raiders.
Manchester Valley 21, C. Milton Wright 5: Emma Penczek and Taylor Fique each had five goals and three assists to lead the host Mavericks past the Mustangs in a Class 2A state quarterfinal. Other top scorers for Manchester Valley included Addison Meyer (4 goals, 2 assists), Natalie Burmeister (2 goals, 1 assist) and Megan Greeenwell (2 goals). Josie Colender made four saves and Molly Pulliam had three saves for the Mavericks.
Softball
Patterson Mill 10, Fallston 0: Winning pitcher Amanda Redmiles threw a two-hitter and the host Huskies shut out the Cougars in a Class 1A regional final. Redmiles went six innings, walked two and struck out three. Patterson Mill got a home run each from Lily Baldwin, Audrey March and Savannah Reedy.
