Field hockey
John Carroll 4, McDonogh 0: Leah Foltyn had a goal and two assists and Claire Moffitt scored twice in the Patriots’ win. Sammi Bender added a goal and an assist.
C. Milton Wright 2, Rising Sun 0: Phoebe Hennessey made 12 saves in goal to earn the shutout for the Mustangs. Reagan Weigman and Ellie Hynes scored goals with Paityn Gossman giving out an assist.
River Hill 5, Reservoir 2: The Hawks (3-2) built a three-goal halftime lead and moved to over .500 on the season. Katelyn Sauritch and Carolyn Dzubak each scored twice while Maya Chan had an assist. Dzubak also dished out two assists and Gabby Bergstrom added an assist. For Reservoir (3-3), Abbie Frisvold scored twice while Cambell Sagin made 11 saves.
Glenelg 7, Centennial 0: The Gladiators (4-0) earned another dominant win, handing the Eagles their first loss of the season. Brinkley Eyre shined with a hat trick and three assists, while Meghan Walker scored twice. Ashlin Cornelius and Lexi Winters each netted a goal as Trinity Shackelford made three saves in the shutout.
Boys soccer
Bel Air 8, Elkton 0: Galen Klisiewecz had three goals and an assist to lead the visiting Bobcats over the Golden Elks. Bel Air took a 6-0 lead in the first 20 minutes of play. Luis Hernandez-Giron scored twice and Isaiah Traynham had a goal and two assists for Bel Air.
Patterson Mill 7, North East 0: Caleb Zerbe had two goals and Colin Luddy had two assists and the visiting Huskies shut out the Indians.
Aberdeen 1, Bohemia Manor 1: Aberdeen got a goal from Kaleb Holmes off a Tobi Dossou assist for its only goal in the tie. Jack Morrell made seven saves in goal.
Key School 2, Beth Tfiloh 0: The visiting Obezags (3-3, 1-0 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland C Conference) snapped a three-game losing streak. The Warriors fell to 2-4, 1-1.
St. Mary’s 4, Saints Peter & Paul 0: Anna Hamilton and Addison Sides each had a goal and an assist to lead the visiting Saints (3-2) over the Sabres.
Girls soccer
Severn 2, Concordia Prep 1, 2OT: Elliot Wienk scored the game-winner on a penalty kick to lift the Admirals (4-2-1, 1-2 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland B Conference) over the Saints (3-1-1, 2-1). Severn led 1-0 in the first half.
Boys volleyball
Patterson Mill 3, Aberdeen 0: Dylan Lewis had seven kills and six aces to lead the Huskies over the Eagles, 25-9, 25-9, 25-9. Other standouts for Patterson Mill included: Aidan Mackowiak (8 kills and 3 aces) and Blaise Jones (6 kills and a block).
