High school sports roundup (Oct. 11)

Here’s a roundup of high school varsity action on Friday, Oct. 11.

Football

Fallston 38, North Harford 0: The host Cougars (5-2) took a 24-0 lead in the first half and shut out the Hawks (2-5). Thursday, Fallston travels to Perryville and North Harford travels to Edgewood.

Field hockey

Glenelg 7, River Hill 1: Brinkley Eyre had four goals and an assist and Lakshmi Aimli had two goals and an assist to lead the host Gladiators over the Hawks.  Katelyn Sauritch scored River Hill’s lone goal assisted by Maya Chan.

Severn 5, Roland Park 0: Annie Campion scored four goals and Sadie Elion had a goal to and the host Admirals (7-3-2, 3-2-1 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland B Conference) shut out the Reds (1-9, 0-6). Monday, Roland Park travels to Bryn Mawr. Wednesday, Severn hosts McDonogh.

Boys soccer

McDonogh 2, Archbishop Spalding 0: The host Eagles (8-0-4, 7-0-4 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference) beat the Cavaliers (3-7-2, 3-7-1). Tuesday, McDonogh hosts The Phelps School (Pa.).  Wednesday, Spalding travels to Archbishop Curley.

C. Milton Wright 5, Aberdeen 0: The host Mustangs beat the Eagles. Axel Lorentzen had a hat trick and  Ben Mroz and Liam Bender each had a goal.

Key School 2, St. John’s Catholic Prep 1: The host Obezags (5-3,3-0 MIAA C Conference) beat the Vikings (1-4, 0-2). Freshman Anthony Aguilar scored from 30 yards out for a 1-0 Key lead. Austin Neise scored the second goal for the Obezags. Tuesday, St. John’s hosts Friends. Wednesday, Key School hosts Cristo Rey Jesuit.

Girls soccer

Severna Park 3, Severn 1: Sara Kreis, Addison Murphy and Ava Scott each scored to lead the visiting Falcons over the Admirals (6-3-2). Madison Watson scored the lone goal for Severn, assisted by Elliot Wienk. Tuesday, Severna Park hosts Old Mill. Wednesday, the Admirals travels to Gerstell.

Long Reach 3, Reservoir 2: Alaina Norton, Lucia Bauer and Naomi Islam scored for the Lightning in the win.

Boys volleyball

Harford Tech 3, Patterson Mill 1: The host Cobras beat the Huskies. Harford Tech won, 22-25, 25-15, 25-23, 25-8.
