CLEVELAND — The Ravens could be without two starting cornerbacks Sunday against the Browns.

Rookie first-round draft pick Nate Wiggins was downgraded to out and did not travel with the team to Cleveland on Saturday. Fellow cornerback Marlon Humphrey is also doubtful after not practicing all week because of a knee injury.

Wiggins was not at Baltimore’s walk-through Wednesday because of a shoulder injury, fully practiced a day later but was limited Friday with an illness. It marks the second game that he will miss this season after he suffered a neck injury in a car accident in September that kept him out of the Ravens’ home opener against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Ravens did get some reinforcements, however.

On Saturday, Baltimore activated cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis from injured reserve and elevated undrafted rookie cornerback Ryan “Bump” Cooper Jr. from the practice squad. Cornerback Arthur Maulet was also activated earlier this week.

Maulet, who appeared in 14 games for Baltimore last season, is making his season debut after arthroscopic knee surgery in August. Armour-Davis is returning after missing four games because of a hamstring injury.

Baltimore (5-2) also placed rookie cornerback T.J. Tampa (ankle) on injured reserve, meaning the fourth-round draft pick will miss at least the next four games.

Humphrey leads the team with four interceptions but was injured in Monday night’s win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If he can’t play Sunday, that leaves the Ravens with Brandon Stephens, Ar’Darius Washington, Maulet, Armour-Davis and Cooper as healthy cornerbacks against a Browns offense now led by quarterback Jameis Winston and new play-caller Ken Dorsey.

Baltimore’s pass defense is the worst in the NFL, allowing 287.1 yards per game.

Last season, Maulet recorded 37 tackles, a pair of sacks and an interception. The 31-year-old had an impressive training camp but tweaked his hamstring in his first practice back from knee surgery and missed seven games.

Armour-Davis, who started the season opener in Kansas City, has not played since a Week 3 win over the Dallas Cowboys because of a hamstring injury. The 2022 fourth-round pick has played just 15 snaps on defense this season, lining up mostly on special teams.

Wiggins has started three games, recording 13 tackles, seven pass breakups and a forced fumble.
