Boys basketball
Mount Carmel 64, Loyola Blakefield 50: Tristen Wilson scored 20 points to lead the visiting Cougars (15-3, 2-1 Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference Red Division) over the Dons (6-4, 2-3). Mount Carmel extended their 17-9 first-quarter lead to as much as 20 points. Other leading scorers for the Cougars included Ralph Rudusans (14 points), Gage Howard (8 points), Junior Mancho (7 points) and Mario Tatum (7 points).
St. Frances 64, McDonogh 57: The host Panthers went on a 27-14 run in the fourth quarter and beat the Eagles in an MIAA A Conference Red Division game. McDonogh was led by Jeff Exinor (15 points), Sonny Moore (12 points), B.J. Hopkins (11 points) and Carlos Ferguson (11 points).
Gerstell 56, Friends 37: The host Falcons (11-2, 3-0 MIAA B Conference Red Division) took a 28-13 lead over the Quakers (4-8, 0-2) in the first half. The victory was the ninth straight. Gerstell was led by Emre Tari (13 points), Grant Ray (12 points) and Victor Gray (11 points).
Joppatowne 69, Fallston 35: Anthony Council scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Mariners over the host Cougars. Other top scorers for Joppatowne included: Kishann Smith (12 points) and Dartanun Blakney (10 points).
John Carroll 49, Gilman 46: Aidan Able had 18 points and four rebounds to lead the visiting Patriots (10-5, 1-2 MIAA A Conference Black Division) over the Greyhounds (3-5, 0-3). Other top performers for John Carroll included: Caden Chinnia (11 points, 3 steals), Theartis Battle (10 points, 5 rebounds) and Parris Lee (8 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocks).
Perry Hall 65, Pikesville 55: The Gators trailed after one, but turned the tide with a 25-5 second quarter. In the loss for Pikesville, Jean Mark Nkem had 22 points. Jonah Matz scored 13 and Jackson Matz had a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Girls basketball
Mount de Sales 47, Bryn Mawr 28: Mackenzie Conley (15 points) and Katie Carroll (12 points, 11 rebounds) led the host Sailors (9-3, 1-0 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland B Conference) over the Mawrtians (7-4, 0-2).
New Town 41, Carver A&T 35: The host Titans (4-1) bounced back and beat the Wildcats (3-3). Friday, the Titans travel to Eastern Tech and Carver A&T travels to Overlea.
North Harford 56, Harford Tech 30: Three Hawks scored in double figures led by Tali Greco with 12 points. Emily Signor and Peyton Dawson each scored 10. Amelia Hartlaub chipped in eight. In the loss, Abby Downes paced the Cobras with 12 points, three rebounds and two steals. Fellow freshman Brenna Olmstead added five points and eight rebounds.
C. Milton Wright 52, Bohemia Manor 24: The Mustangs cruised to the win, led by Jordan Miller with 12 points. Sam Wolfkill chipped in 10.
Pikesville 80, Perry Hall 40: Freshman Qaidence Davids had 18 points and 14 rebounds to lead the visiting Panthers over the Gators. Other top performers for Pikesville included: NaJae Malik-El added (17 points, 5 assists, 2 steals, 3 rebounds) and Mariah Jones-Bey (14 points, 9 assists, 5 steals, 4 rebounds).
Wrestling
Liberty 45, Frederick 28: The Lions won the dual thanks to pins from Keelan Bailey (126 pounds), Jonathan Piek (132), Parker Reynolds (150), Kevin Kern (190) and Max Groslinger (215). Dylan Ohler (157) won by decision.
Patterson Mill 38, North Harford 36: Jonathan Fletcher 14-3 major decision at 175 pounds in the final bout lifted the Huskies over the Hawks. The Huskies got pins from Gabe Filling (120), Cole Christian (132), Owen Henfey (144), Christian Joglar (150) and Noah Vallowe (157). Patterson Mill also got a major decision win from Sanel Becirovic (190). North Harford got pinfall wins from Holden Young (215), Andrew Coakley (285), Vincent Darienzo (106), Ben Grabia (106) and Tommy Blankenship (126).
