Girls basketball
Centennial 42, Marriotts Ridge 20: The host Eagles beat the Mustangs. Freshman Peyton Albert scored nine points for Marriotts Ridge.
Mount de Sales 38, Bryn Mawr 31: Shelby Lewis had 18 points and 11 rebounds and Mackenzie Conley had 11 points to lead the visiting Sailors (14-4, 5-2 Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland B Conference) over the Mawrtians (7-9, 2-5). The victory was the fifth straight.
South River 44, Annapolis 34: The visiting Seahawks beat the Panthers. Skylar Woodyard scored 10 points for South River. McKenzie Fuller had 12 points for Annapolis.
Severna Park 51, Arundel 12: The host Falcons went on a 20-0 run in the second quarter to pull ahead of the Wildcats. Josie Crockett had 10 points for Severna Park.
Chesapeake-AA 51, Northeast 27: Kasey Slade’s double-double of 14 points and 16 rebounds led the Cougars over the Eagles. Ava Arruda chipped in 12 points and six steals, while Maggie Lawrence finished with six points and eight rebounds. Brynn Jones scored 12 to lead Northeast.
South Carroll 49, Manchester Valley 28: The Cavaliers got a road win over the Mavericks behind Harley McKee’s 22-point night. Charlotte Harrington added 11 points and Jenna Todd scored 10 for the Cavs.
Century 53, Winters Mill 42: Three Knights scored in double figures led by Harli Hamlett, the county’s leading scorer, who finished with 18. Raegan Edwards backed her with 12 points and Alaina Zeigler scored 10. Coach Danielle Webb credited the defense of Jayme Fosdick and Abby Kristian as a key to the win.
Linganore 53, Westminster 44: Maddy Gassman scored a game-high 16 points, but the host Owls fell to the Lancers. Meg Hummel had 15 points and Kayleigh Lake had 10 points for Linganore.
Pikesville 72, Carver A&T 22: The host Panthers (12-2) beat the Wildcats (6-5). Pikesville was led by freshman Samira Hawkins (16 points), Bree Taylor (14 points) and Aliyah Taylor (13 points).
St. Mary’s 56, Roland Park 53: Brooklyn Stewart scored a game-high 21 points, but the visiting Reds (5-11, 4-8 IAAM A Conference) fell to the Saints (15-7, 7-5). St. Mary’s was led by Bailey Harris (17 points), Alexandre Vandiver (15 points), and Baily Walden (11 points).
Howard 46, Mt. Hebron 33: Charlotte Mager led the way for the Lions in the win, including a trio of 3-pointers. Maddy Casto had 10 points for Mt. Hebron.
Oakland Mills 59, Wilde Lake 20: Destiny Macharia scored a season-high 29 points for the Scorpions in the win. For Wilde Lake, Deja Williams had 10 points.
River Hill 52, Reservoir 35: The Hawks had three double-digit scorers in the win led by 14 points from Camille Nesmith. Taylor Shane chipped in 11 points, while Dylan Watson added 10. For Reservoir, Alissa Young had 14 points.
Boys basketball
South Carroll 54, Manchester Valley 49: Benson Sommerfeldt’s monster night led the Cavaliers to a big county win over the Mavericks. Sommerfeldt finished with 19 points and 19 rebounds. Micah Puckett backed him with 11 points. For Manchester Valley, Carter Strohman scored 16. Colton Enderle and Brendan Luddy each finished with 12 points.
Westminster 47, Linganore 46: Micah Ozgar (8 points) made a free throw with two seconds left to lift the visiting Owls over the Lancers. Westminster led by three points in the first half before falling behind in the second half. The Owls started the fourth quarter trailing 42-38. Tanek Zitta had 13 points and Charlie Mollman had 12 points for Westminster. Brandon Donaldson finished with a game-high 17 points for Linganore.
Liberty 56, Francis Scott Key 43: Alex Thompson scored 17 points and Tristan West had 13 points to lead the visiting Lions over the Eagles. Jordan Fulmore had a game-high 19 points and Tyler Hanson had 13 points for F.S. Key.
South River 69, Annapolis 35: James Crimaudo scored a game-high 31 points and Jack Schrader and Jamie Finn each had 10 points to lead the visiting Seahawks over the Panthers.
Patterson Mill 70, Fallston 49: Kai Gibson scored 16 points and Kyle Luddy had 15 points to lead the host Huskies over the Cougars. Patterson Mill opened with a 17-0 run and led 41-11 in the first half.
Old Mill 54, Broadneck 49: Jordan Brown scored 13 points and Devin McGowan had 11 points, but the host Bruins (9-4, 3-1 Anne Arundel) fell to the Patriots.
Centennial 72, Marriotts Ridge 66: Josh Frazier led the way for the Eagles with 26 points, as Charlie Crabtree added 18. Ryan Doody chipped in 12 points in the win. For Marriotts Ridge, Jack Bonner scored a season-high 32 points, while Restia Whitaker had 15.
River Hill 67, Reservoir 50: The Hawks had well-balanced scoring in the win with four double-digit scorers. Both OJ Ndu and Aiden Igwebe had 15 points, while Braden Sauritch added 14. Soma Unegbu added 10.
Severn 75, Concordia Prep 41: Corey Dixon scored a game-high 24 points and Kingston Price had 20 points to lead the Admirals (14-5) over the Saints (8-8). Tuesday, Concordia Prep travels to Annapolis Area Christian. Wednesday, Severn travels to Chapelgate Christian.
Loyola Blakefield 84, Gilman 64: The host Dons (14-8) beat the Greyhounds (7-8). Monday, Loyola travels to Mount Carmel and Wednesday Gilman hosts Mount St. Joseph.
