The SuperBook Bar and Restaurant in the B&O Warehouse at Camden Yards is dropping its name ahead of the 2025 season, an Orioles spokesperson told The Baltimore Sun on Friday. The club intends to announce its future plans for the space before opening day in late March.
SuperBook Sports, a national gambling company, ceased accepting wagers in Maryland earlier this summer amid disappointing returns in the Nevada-based company’s efforts to gain a foothold in the state’s sportsbook market. The lounge remained open through the end of the 2024 season, just its second year with the name after being rebranded from Dempsey’s Brew Pub, originally named after longtime Orioles catcher Rick Dempsey.
SuperBook Sports never broke over $1 million in bets by Maryland users in a single month while operating in the state, though the lounge allowed users to bet from any registered sports gambling app while on its premises. FanDuel Sportsbook, the state’s leading sports gambling company, received $285.3 million worth of online bets from Maryland users in December 2024.
The Orioles announced its partnership with SuperBook Sports in 2022, installing signage around the ballpark in addition to rebranding the lounge. A sign on the center field scoreboard read, “Good teams win, great teams cover” and the logo could be found on the right field wall, behind home plate and painted on the grass along the first base line.
Dempsey’s Brew Pub originally opened in 2012 as part of a series of renovations to Camden Yards. Dempsey played 12 seasons in Baltimore, winning two World Series titles and winning the World Series Most Valuable Player Award in 1983.
The Baltimore Banner was first to report the lounge was no longer affiliated with SuperBook Sports.
