The 33rd annual Anne Arundel County Senior All-Star Classic will be held Wednesday, March 20, at Severna Park High. This popular event showcases the best senior boys and girls basketball players, both public and private, in the county.
Organizers of the event are pleased that it will once again be sponsored by M.B.G. Refuse, a Gunther company based in Harmans.
The Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks Department is also a supporter of the Anne Arundel County Senior All-Star Classic, presented by M.B.G. Refuse.
Tickets for this year’s event will cost $5 with all proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County.
This year’s showcase will once again be held in North-South format and will tip-off at 5:30 p.m. with the girls’ all-star game with the boys’ contest to follow at approximately 7 p.m. Every school in Anne Arundel County, public and private, is eligible to nominate a senior for participation in the event.
Head coaches are asked to send nominations to event co-directors Bill Wagner (bwagner@capgaznews.com) and Jeff Starr (jstarr@aacps.org). Please include pertinent statistics and any other supporting information for each player being nominated.
The Anne Arundel County Senior All-Star Classic organization committee will select the rosters after reviewing all nominations. Rosters and other game information will be announced in early March.
